Degree certificate & exmatriculation

How to request your examination certificate

1. Check if all assessments have been completed and recorded. Please compare the data in your ZEuS account with the course overview contained in your examination regulations.

Please note: Modules which are marked with BE oder BE (PV) in the transcript are modules you have successfully completed and passed. If some assessment are still missing, please contact your course lecturer. Should you need to transfer some assessments in other modules, please contact the Examination office.
Please note that some minor subjects (e.g. Gender Studies) only have 39 ECTS credits in the curriculum instead of the required 40 ECTS credits. The missing credits must be absolved in the Centre for Transferable Skills (SQ). In terms of content, you can choose freely from the SQ programme and also opt for a course with more than 1 ECTS. However, if you want to include a language, you must acquire 6 ECTS. Centre for Transferable Skills (SQ).

2.Please contact the Examination office in any case and include the following information in your email: last name, first name, student ID number, expected final date of the last assessment and mention in which module your last assessment is going to be. Please note: date of exams a) thesis: the exam date is the date you have handed in your final work, b) oral examination: the exam date is the day when your final oral exams has taken place.

3. If you have successfully completed all the required courses, the Examinations Office will forward your enquiry to the Central Examination Office (ZPA).  Your degree certificate will then be issued at the ZPA. Should you have any questions about the degree certificate, please find an overview of contact person in charge for your degree and the respective office hours on the website of the Central Examination Office .

Exmatriculation

You can exmatriculate without interrupting your studies as soon as you have successfully completed all the required coursework. Please be aware of the fact that, should you have failed an assessment, you need to enroll again before being able to take a second attempt. Please contact the Examinations Office before you exatriculate to have your ZEuS account checked for completeness.

The exmatriculation can be done on a specific date or at the end of the semester (31 March or 30 September) of the semester in which you completed your last assessment. You can find detailed information about exmatriculation at the Student Service Centre (SSZ).

As long as you are enrolled, you can attend university events and coures or improve your job-related skills at the Career Service, Centre for Transferable Skills (SQ), Language Institute (SLI), Writing Centre.
