Hanno Mögenburg

Wissenschaftlicher Werdegang

Hanno Mögenburg ist Doktorand am Lehrstuhl für Ethnologie und Kulturanthropologie. Er studierte Politikwissenschaft (B.A.) in Bremen und Ethnologie/Social and Cultural Anthropology (M.A.) an der Martin-Luther Universität Halle-Wittenberg.

2018 bis 2022 war er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im DFG-geförderten Projekt „Activist becomings in South Africa and Myanmar: Studying infrastructure and politics through the life-worlds of activists”. Seine Forschung über Infrastrukturaktivismus in Johannesburg behandelt unter anderem die Transformation von Energiesystemen und die komplexe Organisation und Aushandlung von Netzausbau in urbanen Kontexten des postkolonialen, globalen Südens. Anhand alltäglicher engagements von Anwohner:innen der urbanen Peripherie mit den materiellen, diskursiven, technowissenschaftlichen sowie politischen Dimensionen von Infrastruktur wird in der Arbeit untersucht, wie Konzepte der Regierbarkeit, Expertise und Legitimität im komplexen Prozess der Infrastrukturierung herausgefordert werden. Die Arbeit wird von Prof. Dr. Thomas Kirsch und Prof. Dr. Steven Robins (University of Stellenbosch) betreut.

Seit 2023 ist er außerdem als Projektmitarbeiter in einem Berliner Büro für Gemeinwohlorientierte Stadtentwicklung tätig.
